DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a fiery ideological proclamation: "We need neither hegemonists nor slaves," encapsulating the central political battle confronting Tamil Nadu under the rallying call "Thamizh Maanam Kaappom" (Protect Tamil Dignity). Stalin explained that the "hegemonists" referred to the authoritarian Narendra Modi-led BJP government that sought to impose linguistic uniformity, cultural hegemony, and financial subjugation across non-Hindi states. Meanwhile, the "slaves" referred to the spineless AIADMK leadership under Edappadi Palaniswami and O. Panneerselvam, who had surrendered every strand of state autonomy to retain their ministerial posts.

Stalin asserted that Tamil Nadu's political tradition, rooted in the Dravidian self-respect movement founded by Thanthai Periyar and nurtured by Perarignar Anna and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar, had never bowed to external authoritarian domination or internal subservience. The present alliance between the BJP and AIADMK was an unholy conspiracy to reduce Tamil Nadu to a vassal state, destroying regional pride and subverting constitutional social justice.

Stalin called upon the Tamil electorate to rise with self-respect and reject both oppressive forces decisively. He urged voters to support the Secular Progressive Alliance to protect Tamil pride.
