DMK president M.K. Stalin reiterated his uncompromising clarion call: "We need neither hegemonists nor slaves," underscoring the core ideological resolve of the Secular Progressive Alliance under the hashtag campaign "Thamizh Maanam Kaappom" (Let Us Safeguard Tamil Dignity). Stalin emphasized that this political slogan captured the existential struggle confronting the people of Tamil Nadu, whose unique language, sacred cultural autonomy, and federal rights were being systematically undermined by Delhi's centralized hegemony.
Stalin condemned the Narendra Modi-led BJP government for treating non-Hindi speaking states as mere satellites, enforcing uniformity through cultural centralization, educational imposition, and financial arm-twisting. Simultaneously, he denounced the ruling AIADMK government led by Edappadi Palaniswami and O. Panneerselvam for operating as cowardly vassals. The state leadership had traded away Tamil Nadu's collective self-respect and political dignity before the central regime in exchange for administrative immunity against serious corruption inquiries.
Stalin asserted that the Dravidian movement would never permit the subjugation of Tamil pride. He urged voters across Tamil Nadu to rise unitedly on April 18 and cast their decisive ballots for the Rising Sun symbol to restore self-respect, federal freedom, and social democracy.
