DMK president M.K. Stalin reiterated his resolute clarion call: "We need neither hegemonists nor slaves," anchoring the DMK's statewide election campaign firmly on the bedrock principle of defending Tamil self-respect under the banner "Thamizh Maanam Kaappom." Stalin stated that the Dravidian movement was founded upon the immutable premise that Tamils will neither dominate others nor allow themselves to be subjugated by any external political authority.
Stalin emphasized that the Narendra Modi-led central government had sought to dismantle India's cooperative federal framework by imposing uniform cultural diktats, centralizing economic resources, and diminishing regional autonomy. Concurrently, the AIADMK administration headed by Edappadi Palaniswami had reduced itself to abject servitude, willingly compromising Tamil Nadu's financial rights, educational opportunities through NEET, and language self-determination solely to preserve its corrupt rule. This dangerous convergence of central authoritarianism and local compliance threatened the very foundations of state pride.
Stalin appealed to every voter across Tamil Nadu to register their categorical rejection of both the oppressor and the submissive puppet on April 18. He urged citizens to vote decisively for the Rising Sun symbol to restore self-respect.
