DMK president M.K. Stalin issued an earnest and impassioned direct appeal to the voters of Tamil Nadu, calling upon them to cast their democratic votes for the iconic Rising Sun symbol of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. Stalin stated that the Rising Sun had historically represented the glorious dawn of social emancipation, linguistic self-respect, backward class empowerment, and rapid economic modernization across Tamil Nadu under the visionary leadership of Perarignar Anna and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar.
Stalin emphasized that the April 18 election was not an ordinary democratic contest, but a decisive referendum to rescue the republic from the catastrophic, divisive misrule of the Narendra Modi-led BJP government and dismantle the corrupt, puppet AIADMK dispensation led by Edappadi Palaniswami. Under these twin oppressive regimes, Tamil Nadu's financial rights had been stripped away through GST, youth aspirations destroyed via NEET, and democratic protests crushed with brute police violence.
Stalin urged every citizen—farmers, laborers, weavers, youth, and women—to unite resolutely under the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance. He affirmed that a vote decisively for the Rising Sun was a vote to protect federal autonomy, pluralism, and inclusive public welfare.
