DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed a rousing election campaign rally in his home assembly constituency Kolathur, campaigning for Secular Progressive Alliance candidate Dr. Kalanidhi Veeraswamy in Chennai North Lok Sabha constituency. Speaking before his beloved constituents who elected him to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly in consecutive elections, Stalin expressed deep emotional gratitude, stating that serving the residents of Kolathur remained one of his most fulfilling public responsibilities.

Stalin recounted his relentless efforts to develop Kolathur despite operating as an opposition MLA facing deliberate bureaucratic roadblocks and fund starvation from the ruling AIADMK government. Through dedicated MLA local development funds and personal constituency offices, he had established modern computer training centers, free medical diagnostic camps, drinking water supply facilities, and student scholarship schemes. He contrasted this sincere public service with the vindictive attitude of AIADMK ministers who repeatedly stalled major road laying, stormwater drainage expansion, and school modernization projects across the constituency out of political malice.

Stalin urged the people of Kolathur to deliver a resounding mandate for Dr. Kalanidhi Veeraswamy under the Rising Sun symbol to ensure accelerated urban transformation.
