DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a passionate pledge under the campaign banner "Thamizh Maanam Kaappom" (Protect Tamil Dignity), resolving to remove the central BJP and state AIADMK governments that shattered the medical education dreams of thousands of Tamil students through the coercive imposition of NEET. Stalin stated that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test was a discriminatory barrier designed to favour elite coaching centers while ruthlessly slamming the doors of medical colleges against poor, rural, and government school students.
Stalin recalled the heartbreaking sacrifice of Anitha and several other bright student martyrs whose lives were extinguished by this unfair testing regime. He condemned the Edappadi Palaniswami government for utter subservience, pointing out that two unanimous resolutions passed by the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly seeking exemption from NEET were allowed to languish and gather dust in Delhi without any serious follow-up. Instead of defending state rights, the AIADMK administration actively misled the public, while the Modi regime trampled on Tamil Nadu's sovereign powers over education.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK's prime electoral promise remained the permanent abolition of NEET. He urged voters to defeat both regimes on April 18.
