DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a passionate appeal under the campaign banner "Thamizh Maanam Kaappom" (Protect Tamil Dignity), calling for the decisive removal of the central BJP and state AIADMK regimes that had deeply betrayed and humiliated Tamil Nadu's farming community. Stalin recalled the agonizing, historic protests conducted by Tamil farmers in the national capital of New Delhi, where elderly farmers staged desperate demonstrations holding skulls of fellow farmers who died by suicide due to crop failures and debt distress.

Stalin condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for callously refusing to grant even a five-minute audience to the protesting farmers, despite holding lavish photo sessions with corporate tycoons and celebrities. Back home, Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami acted with equal cruelty, branding agitating farmers as anti-social elements and arresting peaceful demonstrators opposing the forced acquisition of fertile agricultural lands for the Chennai-Salem eight-lane expressway. Both governments had failed to secure fair crop insurance settlements, provide drought relief, or waive mounting agricultural loans from nationalized banks.

Stalin pledged that a DMK administration will immediately waive agricultural cooperative loans, establish a separate agricultural budget, and protect farmland rights.
