DMK president M.K. Stalin administered a solemn electoral pledge to the people of Tamil Nadu, exhorting them to resolve unitedly to oust the anti-people central BJP government and the puppet AIADMK administration in the upcoming elections. Stalin declared that the democratic verdict on April 18 must herald a radiant new dawn for Tamil Nadu, ensuring that the interests, welfare, self-respect, and constitutional rights of Tamils are vigorously defended and restored under the Rising Sun.

Stalin observed that eight continuous years of AIADMK misrule combined with five years of centralized BJP dominance had inflicted unprecedented damage upon the state. Key sectors including agriculture, weaving, manufacturing, public health, and school education had been systematically starved of resources and neglected. Despotic policies like demonetization, flawed GST implementation, and NEET entrance tests had crippled the livelihoods of ordinary citizens and destroyed the aspirations of hardworking youth. He emphasized that the ruling regime had prioritized private kickbacks and subservience to Delhi over public welfare.
