DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed a massive election campaign rally in Viluppuram parliamentary constituency, seeking support for the Secular Progressive Alliance candidate. Stalin highlighted Viluppuram's agricultural prominence, recalling that previous DMK administrations under Kalaignar Karunanidhi had established crucial higher education colleges, government hospitals, and rural road networks to uplift backward and marginalized communities across the district.

Stalin criticized the state AIADMK government for plunging local farmers into deep distress by failing to clear hundreds of crores in pending sugarcane arrears owed by cooperative and private sugar mills. Cane growers were facing crippling debts while the state agriculture department remained indifferent. In addition, rural youth across Viluppuram lacked local employment avenues, forcing widespread migration toward industrial estates around Chennai. Stalin condemned the AIADMK leadership for functioning as submissive proxies to the central BJP government, surrendering state rights and allowing central entrance tests like NEET to disadvantage rural students.

Stalin pledged that a DMK administration will ensure immediate settlement of sugarcane dues, establish agro-processing hubs, and expand rural welfare. He appealed to voters to deliver a decisive mandate under the Rising Sun.
