DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a passionate campaign call to the voters of Tamil Nadu, declaring April 18 as the decisive date to teach a lasting lesson to the communal BJP regime at the Centre and its corrupt AIADMK ally in the state. Stalin asserted that this election was a crucial turning point for Indian democracy, determining whether the secular fabric of the nation and the self-respect of the Tamil people would survive.
Stalin stated that five years of Narendra Modi's rule had unleashed social polarization, undermined constitutional bodies, and imposed devastating economic shocks that ruined farmers, laborers, and small entrepreneurs. In Tamil Nadu, the Edappadi Palaniswami administration had functioned as an obedient vassal, submitting to central diktats and looting public coffers through kickbacks in highway contracts and local body tenders. Stalin underscored that the alliance between the BJP and AIADMK was built purely on fear, opportunism, and personal self-preservation rather than any shared public commitment.
Stalin urged voters across all constituencies to cast their ballots for the Secular Progressive Alliance under the Rising Sun symbol to restore clean, democratic governance.
