DMK president M.K. Stalin issued a comprehensive electoral appeal to the people of Tamil Nadu, calling for an overwhelming mandate under the Rising Sun to protect the livelihoods, rights, and welfare of every section of society. Stalin emphasized that the DMK's progressive political vision encompassed farmers, handloom weavers, school and college students, unemployed youth, elderly pensioners, women, and children who had suffered under ruling regimes.
Stalin stated that the alliance of the central BJP and state AIADMK had systematically dismantled public welfare systems and economic protections over the preceding five years. Farmers had been pushed into debt distress due to unremunerative crop prices, while traditional handloom and powerloom weavers were crushed under flawed GST levies. Educated young graduates roamed without dignified employment, elderly citizens faced irregular welfare pension disbursements, and women felt increasingly insecure due to deteriorating law and order. Stalin pointed out that while ordinary citizens bore these burdens, the ruling administration prioritized kickbacks in infrastructure tenders.
Stalin affirmed that the Secular Progressive Alliance manifesto offered concrete, realistic solutions to rebuild Tamil Nadu's social fabric. He urged citizens to vote decisively for the Rising Sun on April 18.
