DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed an immense election campaign rally in Pollachi parliamentary constituency, seeking support for DMK candidate K. Shanmugasundaram. Stalin recalled Pollachi's historical agrarian richness, noting that its verdant coconut groves, coir manufacturing units, and jaggery production centers had earned the region international acclaim, before being plunged into economic crisis by years of AIADMK misgovernance.

Stalin highlighted the intense distress confronting local coconut and coir farmers due to the devastating whitefly pest infestation, which had destroyed thousands of trees without prompt governmental intervention or scientific support. Copra procurement prices remained unremunerative, while coir industries were choked by GST and credit shortages. In addition, long-pending regional irrigation initiatives, notably the Anaimalayar-Nallar project, had been abandoned by state ministers. Stalin also reiterated his indignation over the heinous Pollachi sexual assault racket, condemning the ruling regime for shielding accused individuals and betraying women's safety.

Stalin promised that a DMK administration will establish modern coconut processing centers, waive pending farm debts, resolve inter-state water sharing expeditiously, and ensure stringent justice for victims of crime. He urged voters to support the Rising Sun.
