DMK president M.K. Stalin launched a searing counterattack against Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami, questioning what moral qualification the accidental chief minister possessed to criticize the DMK or its principled Secular Progressive Alliance. Stalin declared that Edappadi Palaniswami was the living embodiment of shameless political opportunism, having ascended to the chief minister's chair not through popular democratic mandate, but through humiliating backroom machinations and crawling before corrupt power brokers at the Koovathur resort.

Stalin pointed out that Palaniswami's current electoral coalition was a hollow, unprincipled confederation stitched together purely out of mortal fear of central investigations and personal political survival. The AIADMK had surrendered all state autonomy to the Narendra Modi-led BJP, an openly communal party that was fundamentally opposed to Dravidian values and Tamil Nadu's welfare. In addition, the AIADMK had allied with parties whose leaders had spent years writing exhaustive books documenting the monumental corruption and looting of the Palaniswami government.

Stalin warned Palaniswami that his political arrogance and betrayal of the public would soon be brought to an abrupt end. He asserted that the people of Tamil Nadu will deliver an unforgettable lesson on April 18.
