DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed a massive election campaign public meeting in Andipatti assembly constituency, mobilizing spirited support for DMK candidate A. Maharajan in the crucial assembly bye-election alongside the Lok Sabha elections. Stalin spoke on the political prominence of Andipatti, noting that despite repeatedly electing high-profile chief ministers in previous decades, the constituency remained severely underdeveloped and neglected by the ruling AIADMK administration.

Stalin focused on the pressing agrarian challenges afflicting local farmers and plantation laborers across Andipatti, Kadamalaikundu, and the Myladumparai hill tracts. The failure of the state government to construct check dams along the Vaigai river basin and modernize irrigation feeder canals had resulted in acute groundwater depletion and widespread drinking water scarcity. Cardamom, silk cotton, and vegetable cultivators were left without cold storage facilities or fair crop pricing mechanisms. Stalin highlighted that local AIADMK leaders had engaged in systemic extortion and illegal quarrying rather than addressing basic road connectivity or primary healthcare services.

Stalin promised that a DMK government will revamp regional irrigation canals, ensure uninterrupted water supply, and deliver honest civic administration. He urged voters to elect Maharajan under the Rising Sun.
