DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed a massive election campaign public meeting in Dindigul parliamentary constituency, seeking an overwhelming democratic mandate for DMK candidate P. Velusamy. Stalin spoke on the historic identity of Dindigul as a bastion of craftsmanship and agriculture, celebrated internationally for its precision lock-making cottage industries, brass metal hardware, aromatic tobacco processing, and flourishing vegetable production in the fertile valleys surrounding the Sirumalai and Kodaikanal hills.

Stalin voiced deep concern over the severe economic stagnation crippling Dindigul's traditional manufacturing sectors. Ill-conceived demonetization and steep GST levies had devastated hundreds of small brass and lock manufacturing units, forcing master artisans into unemployment and pushing ancestral industries toward extinction. Concurrently, regional smallholder farmers cultivating shallots, drumsticks, and tomatoes faced ruinous post-harvest losses due to the total absence of government cold storage units and regulated marketing infrastructure. Stalin criticized the AIADMK regime for failing to desilt local irrigation tanks or complete the long-pending Athoor drinking water supply project for Dindigul town.

Stalin pledged that a DMK-led government will establish modern lock industrial clusters, construct food processing parks, and secure urban drinking water supplies. He appealed for votes under the Rising Sun.
