DMK president M.K. Stalin suggested that if Palaniswami wished to understand the true price of righteousness, he should consult his own Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, who had once staged a theatrical "Dharma Yudham" meditation at Jayalalithaa's memorial only to compromise every professed moral principle the moment central powers offered him cabinet perks. Stalin detailed how the AIADMK government had institutionalized systemic corruption across every government department, from highway tenders to local body contracts, leaving state finances in unprecedented ruin. Stalin remarked that citizens found it deeply laughable to hear preachings on righteousness from leaders whose administration was synonymous with graft and subservience.
