கமிஷனுக்காக விளைநிலங்களை அழித்து சென்னை-சேலம் 8 வழிச்சாலையை அதிமுக அரசு கொண்டுவருகிறது.

DMK president M.K. Stalin made a definitive policy declaration regarding rural livelihoods and environment, stating that upon assuming office, the DMK government will permanently scrap the contentious ten-thousand-crore Chennai-Salem eight-lane greenfield expressway project. Stalin questioned whether an opportunistic political alliance founded on transactional horse-trading and commercial kickbacks could ever comprehend the profound agony of farming families whose fertile ancestral lands, wells, and homes were being ruthlessly destroyed for ministerial percentages.
Stalin highlighted the ruthless authoritarianism displayed by the Edappadi Palaniswami government, which had deployed armed police to intimidate, assault, and arrest peaceful farming families, environmental activists, and journalists who dared to protest against land acquisition for the eight-lane highway. Thousands of acres of agricultural fields, coconut groves, betel vine farms, and eco-sensitive reserve forests in Kancheepuram, Tiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri, and Salem were being sacrificed solely to serve corporate mining interests and road contractors. Stalin stressed that while transportation infrastructure was essential, real development must never come through the forced destruction of farmer livelihoods.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK will upgrade existing highway corridors without destroying farmlands. He urged voters to support the Rising Sun on April 18 to protect agrarian heritage.
