DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed an energetic election campaign public meeting in Perambalur parliamentary constituency, mobilizing massive support for Secular Progressive Alliance candidate Dr. T.R. Paarivendhar of the IJK, contesting under the Rising Sun symbol. Stalin spoke warmly of Perambalur's hardworking dryland farming population, noting that the district's economic destiny was inextricably linked to agrarian welfare, equitable water management, and the establishment of sustainable non-polluting rural industries.

Stalin criticized the AIADMK administration for failing to provide basic developmental infrastructure for Perambalur's agricultural producers. The district was celebrated as the foremost producer of shallots and small onions in Tamil Nadu, yet local growers suffered devastating financial losses every season due to price volatility and the absence of government-operated cold storage facilities and dehydration processing units. Similarly, cotton and maize farmers were denied statutory minimum support prices and timely crop insurance settlements. In addition, the long-promised special economic zone industrial corridor near Padalur had remained completely dormant for over eight years, leaving thousands of educated rural youth without viable employment opportunities.

Stalin promised that a DMK government will install cold storage networks, guarantee remunerative crop pricing, and revive industrial investments. He urged voters to support the Rising Sun.
