DMK president M.K. Stalin raised pointed questions regarding the suspected complicity of ruling AIADMK figures in the horrifying Pollachi sexual abuse scandal. In this organized criminal racket, young women and students were lured, assaulted, and blackmailed with explicit videos over several years. Stalin asked why the state police and administration delayed substantive action even after investigative journalists exposed shocking details and the DMK led extensive street demonstrations demanding immediate arrests.

Stalin observed that the local police had initially downplayed the complaint, treating a massive syndicated crime as an isolated personal dispute. It was only when courageous investigative reports surfaced and public fury reached boiling point that the police arrested a few henchmen.
