DMK president M.K. Stalin led a massive political rally in the historic soil of Virudhunagar, the birthplace of legendary leader Perunthalaivar Kamarajar. Addressing an immense sea of cadres and local workers, Stalin declared that this massive march marked the turning point that would put an absolute full stop to the disastrous misrule of the Modi-led Centre and the puppet Edappadi Palaniswami state dispensation.

Stalin focused on the catastrophic economic crisis gripping Virudhunagar district's industrious working population. Sivakasi, renowned as the firecracker, matches, and offset printing capital of India, faced total paralysis. Over eight lakh workers and small entrepreneurs were pushed to the brink of starvation due to court restrictions on fireworks, absence of green cracker formulations from central research bodies, and crushing twenty-eight percent GST rates. In addition, the spinning mills and ginning factories of Rajapalayam and Aruppukkottai suffered from volatile cotton yarn prices and power tariff shocks. Neither the central nor state governments intervened to protect these indigenous industries that sustained rural employment across southern Tamil Nadu.

Stalin vowed that a DMK-led government will resolve the cracker crisis and revive southern industrial clusters.
