DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed profound solidarity and heartfelt concern for the family and loved ones of Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, following his capture across the border during military skirmishes. Stalin conveyed that the thoughts, prayers, and anxieties of the entire people of Tamil Nadu and the broader nation were steadfastly aligned with the courageous pilot and his courageous kin residing in the state.

Stalin issued an urgent appeal to the Government of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding that the Union administration deploy every available diplomatic channel, international convention, and strategic measure to ensure the officer's immediate safety and unhindered repatriation back home. He underscored that safeguarding the lives and dignity of armed personnel defending national borders is the highest constitutional obligation of any sovereign government. Stalin noted that national unity transcends political divisions during times of external crisis and defense challenges.

Stalin reiterated his demand under the national call #BringBackAbhinandan, affirming that the country awaited the officer's safe and honorable homecoming. He called upon central authorities to act decisively without delay, ensuring his swift and dignified return to Indian soil.
