DMK president M.K. Stalin inaugurated the "Anitha Achievers Academy" in his Kolathur assembly constituency, establishing a modern educational training center to provide free competitive coaching and skill development for underprivileged students. Stalin dedicated the institution to the enduring memory of S. Anitha, the meritorious Dalit student whose dream of becoming a doctor was crushed by the discriminatory, centralized NEET medical examination.
Stalin recalled Anitha's tragic sacrifice, observing that rigid, centralized eligibility tests designed without regard to diverse socioeconomic conditions actively shut out talented rural and vernacular-medium students from professional education. He stated that no talented youngster should ever be denied dignified opportunities or driven to despair because of systemic barriers. The academy was equipped with modern digital classrooms, comprehensive study materials, computer labs, and experienced educators to empower rural and marginalized youth to excel in competitive examinations with confidence.
Stalin expressed hope that the institution would inspire similar grassroots educational centers across Tamil Nadu. He reaffirmed that the DMK will persistently struggle to abolish NEET, safeguard educational federalism, protect state rights, and restore state authority over professional medical admissions for all deserving candidates.
