DMK president M.K. Stalin leveled serious corruption allegations against Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami and Director General of Police T.K. Rajendran regarding irregularities in awarding an eighty-eight crore rupee procurement tender for establishing a digital mobile radio communication system in Chennai and Tiruchirappalli. Stalin asserted that technical tender specifications were manipulated dishonestly to favor a specific private vendor.

Stalin emphasized that the very authorities charged with upholding law, order, and public security had compromised official integrity by transforming vital police modernization tenders into avenues for illicit personal enrichment. He observed that high-ranking police officers and the Chief Minister, who held the home portfolio, bore direct culpability for overriding financial rules and technical guidelines. Stalin noted that while ordinary police personnel struggled without modern gear or decent housing, top administrative figures colluded to divert public security funds for kickbacks.

Stalin gave an uncompromising public assurance that once the DMK assumes governmental office, a comprehensive and independent judicial inquiry will be instituted to investigate this tender scandal. He asserted that corrupt officials and politicians will be held strictly accountable before the law without exception.
