DMK president M.K. Stalin conducted an extensive and interactive DMK Panchayat Sabha public meeting at Vada Pudupatti village panchayat in Periyakulam assembly constituency. Speaking before a packed gathering of small agriculturalists, farm laborers, and women self-help group members, Stalin listened closely to their everyday struggles caused by administrative negligence and stalled developmental works under the ruling AIADMK government.

Residents pointed out that drinking water supply in Vada Pudupatti was highly erratic, forcing women to walk long distances or purchase water from commercial private tankers at exorbitant rates. Farmers voiced distress over the lack of modern desilting in regional irrigation tanks and the government's total failure to disburse crop insurance payouts following drought conditions. Young graduates also expressed deep frustration over rampant unemployment and the absence of agro-industrial employment opportunities in the Periyakulam belt. Stalin pointed out that the AIADMK administration was totally disconnected from grassroots realities and focused solely on clinging to power through unprincipled political alliances.

Stalin affirmed that the DMK will prioritize water security, ensure timely crop insurance compensation, and build local agro-based enterprises to generate rural employment once elected to office.
