DMK president M.K. Stalin led a solemn gathering during a DMK Panchayat Sabha meeting to pay heartfelt homage and observe two minutes of silence for the forty Central Reserve Police Force soldiers martyred in the dastardly Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, including two brave soldiers from Tamil Nadu. Stalin expressed deep grief, offering profound condolences to the bereaved families on behalf of the party and the people of Tamil Nadu.
Turning to state and national political developments, Stalin strongly condemned the central and state ruling dispensations for announcing and distributing hasty cash payouts right on the eve of parliamentary elections. He characterized these eleventh-hour financial doles as blatant, unethical attempts to purchase public votes after spending nearly five years neglecting people's genuine economic welfare. Stalin asserted that both administrations had caused severe agrarian crisis, industrial slowdown, and record unemployment through reckless policies like demonetization, only to remember impoverished citizens when facing imminent electoral defeat.
Stalin affirmed that the politically conscious electorate of Tamil Nadu could not be lured by superficial, temporary sops. He stated that citizens will decisively vote to reject corrupt and opportunistic ruling forces.
