DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed profound shock and unequivocal condemnation over the gruesome murder of PMK functionary Ramalingam in Thirubhuvanam near Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district. Ramalingam was brutally attacked and murdered by an armed gang following a verbal altercation in a local residential neighborhood. Stalin conveyed his deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, friends, and community members enduring this irreparable personal tragedy.

Noting that the police had swiftly arrested several suspects implicated in the horrific homicide, Stalin insisted that the state law enforcement agencies must conduct a foolproof, time-bound investigation without room for procedural lapses. He stressed that the arrested perpetrators must be produced before the appropriate court of law and prosecuted vigorously to ensure exemplary and expeditious punishment under the Indian Penal Code.
