DMK president M.K. Stalin delivered a scathing critique of the Tamil Nadu state budget presented by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister O. Panneerselvam, characterizing it as an unmitigated disaster that exposed the complete financial ruin of the state under AIADMK misrule. Stalin highlighted that the budget figures revealed alarming milestones of economic mismanagement, including unprecedented revenue deficits exceeding fourteen thousand crore rupees, burgeoning fiscal deficits, runaway public debt crossing nearly four lakh crore rupees, and catastrophic youth unemployment.

Stalin observed that instead of laying out progressive developmental blueprints or job creation strategies, the budget relied on reckless borrowing simply to meet routine committed expenditures. Essential welfare outlays for agriculture, school education, public health, and rural infrastructure were drastically curtailed or remained unspent. He remarked that Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami had not only looted Kodanad estate, but had systematically plundered the financial resources of the entire state of Tamil Nadu through institutional corruption, tender scams, and administrative surrender to the Centre.

Stalin asserted that the people of Tamil Nadu will reject this bankrupt administration and restore fiscal prudence through a DMK government.
