இதுதான் உங்கள் ஆட்சியின் லட்சணமா? முதலமைச்சர் வெள்ளை அறிக்கை வெளியிடத் தயாரா? https://t.co/ydSbHOLGMS

Editorial context

DMK president M.K. Stalin challenged Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami to publish a transparent white paper detailing actual foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows, following official Union government data showing a steep twenty-one percent decline in foreign investments entering Tamil Nadu. Stalin questioned the utility of spending hundreds of crores of public taxpayers' money on extravagant Global Investors Meets (GIM) in 2015 and 2019 when actual industrial investment in the state continued to plunge year after year.

Stalin observed that while the AIADMK administration made grandiose claims of signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth over five lakh crore rupees during the two investor summits, barely a fraction of those projects had actually materialized on the ground. Instead, bureaucratic red tape, extortionate bribe demands by cabinet ministers for planning and environmental clearances, and unreliable power supply drove multinational manufacturers to neighboring southern states like Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Stalin pointed out that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), which formed the backbone of Tamil Nadu's industrial employment, were shutting down in thousands due to twin shocks of demonetization and GST.

Stalin asserted that the DMK will restore investor confidence and industrial resurgence by dismantling systemic corruption.
