DMK president M.K. Stalin participated in the "DMK Panchayat Sabha" meeting and addressed polling booth agents in the historically illustrious village of Keeladi in the Manamadurai assembly constituency of Sivagangai district. Making a historic cultural and developmental commitment, Stalin pledged that immediately upon the formation of the DMK government, extensive and scientifically rigorous archaeological excavations will be resumed at Keeladi, and a magnificent world-class museum will be constructed on-site to display Sangam-era artifacts celebrating ancient Tamil civilization.

Stalin expressed deep indignation at the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Union government and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for attempting to suppress, stall, and undermine the epoch-making discoveries at Keeladi. He condemned the unceremonious transfer of pioneering archaeologist Amarnath Ramakrishna and the deliberate withholding of carbon-dating reports that established the antiquity of urban Sangam civilization along the Vaigai river basin to at least the sixth century BCE. Stalin lambasted the AIADMK regime for meekly acquiescing to central efforts to silence Tamil historical heritage.

Stalin affirmed that the Dravidian movement will celebrate Keeladi globally, establishing the profound antiquity and literacy of classical Tamil civilization.
