DMK president M.K. Stalin convened an energetic panchayat sabha gathering at Cedrapatti village within the Harur assembly constituency of Dharmapuri district, bringing together local farmers, rural women, and youth to discuss regional governance issues. The meeting served as a vital forum for villagers to voice their grievances regarding civic neglect and lack of agricultural support.
Addressing the public gathering, Stalin emphasized that the Cedrapatti village council meet symbolized the collective determination of rural citizens to bring an end to the autocratic rule of both the central BJP government and the state AIADMK regime. He explained that rural communities had borne the brunt of poor governance, citing severe agrarian distress, uncontrolled commodity price inflation, escalating rural unemployment, and unfulfilled poll promises. Stalin noted that instead of addressing ground-level hardships, both governments had systematically suppressed democratic dissent and neglected village development.
Stalin reiterated that the DMK's grassroots movement was gaining immense public momentum across Tamil Nadu. He called upon the residents of Cedrapatti to stand united in the forthcoming democratic battles, pledging that an accountable DMK administration would champion village self-reliance and comprehensive rural rejuvenation.
