DMK president M.K. Stalin addressed a vibrant panchayat sabha conference at Esanatham village in Karur district, engaging directly with agricultural workers, weavers, rural youth, and women's self-help group members. The consultative meeting formed a key part of the DMK's statewide program to reconnect directly with village populations and diagnose grassroots administrative decay.

Speaking to the gathering, Stalin emphasized that the primary purpose of the panchayat sabha was to create a direct democratic channel to alleviate the pathetic conditions inflicted upon rural Tamil Nadu by the AIADMK administration. He highlighted that Esanatham and adjacent rural hamlets were suffering from a prolonged collapse of basic amenities, including acute drinking water shortages, poorly maintained irrigation canals, dilapidated village roads, and non-functional primary health facilities. Stalin noted that bureaucratic apathy had replaced accountable local governance because local civic bodies remained unrepresented without elected panchayat chiefs.

Stalin gave a firm assurance to the people of Esanatham that the DMK would not allow rural communities to remain neglected. He pledged that a future DMK government would prioritize rural industrialization, upgrade basic civic infrastructure, and guarantee accountable village administration.
