DMK president M.K. Stalin delivered an unequivocal declaration slamming the Narendra Modi administration, firmly asserting that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam will never forge a political alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party. Addressing mounting political speculation ahead of the parliamentary elections, Stalin stated that the core constitutional pillars of secularism, social justice, equality, federalism, and state autonomy have been treated as expendable concepts by the ruling dispensation throughout its four and a half years in power.
Stalin criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fostering an intolerant, centralized political culture that seeks to systematically undermine the federal rights of states while diluting established social justice protections for backward communities. He underscored that Tamil Nadu's distinct cultural identity and longstanding self-respect movement stand in direct ideological opposition to the majoritarian agenda promoted by the Sangh Parivar. By deliberately suppressing regional languages, imposing uniform national policies, and disregarding state jurisdiction, the central leadership had alienated people across southern states.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK will steadfastly defend constitutional democracy alongside secular allies, refusing any compromise with forces that threaten communal harmony and federal principles.
