DMK president M.K. Stalin participated in an energetic Panchayat Sabha assembly held at Navalur Kuttapattu village panchayat, situated within the historic Srirangam legislative constituency. The meeting formed part of the party's massive village-to-village outreach movement aimed at directly engaging with rural communities, understanding their everyday struggles, and rebuilding public confidence in responsive democratic administration. Hundreds of local residents, including agricultural workers, self-help group members, and local youths, gathered enthusiastically to welcome Stalin and voice their pressing concerns.
During the interactive session, village residents highlighted persistent civic problems, particularly inadequate drinking water distribution, poor drainage maintenance, irregular electricity supply, and deteriorating internal village pathways. Stalin patiently heard each speaker, taking detailed notes and assuring them that their voices would form the bedrock of the DMK's grassroots development agenda. He criticized the incumbent AIADMK government for completely neglecting rural civic administration and withholding local body polls for over two years, leaving rural citizens without local ombudsmen or accessible redressal mechanisms.
Stalin affirmed that genuine governance begins with listening to the public, promising that the DMK will restore administrative accountability and rural self-respect upon assuming governance.
