Thousands of poor farmers from across India are marching in Delhi seeking debt relief & better MSP. Tamil Nadu farmers are facing the same plight.
I urge PM @narendramodi to listen to the pain of these farmers and work towards long term solutions.

DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed profound solidarity with the thousands of impoverished farmers, agrarian workers, and rural women from across India who marched to the national capital in the massive "Kisan Mukti March," demanding comprehensive farm debt waivers and remunerative Minimum Support Prices (MSP). Stalin highlighted that agriculturalists from Tamil Nadu, reeling under recurring droughts and severe cyclone devastation, were enduring the exact same systemic agrarian crisis confronting their counterparts nationwide.
Stalin urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to shed his administrative indifference, listen attentively to the agonizing pain of the nation's food producers, and formulate permanent, long-term statutory solutions rather than offering cosmetic announcements. He pointed out that while the central government had written off lakhs of crores in non-performing corporate loans for wealthy industrialists, it stubbornly refused to waive the modest institutional loans of debt-trapped cultivators who were being driven to suicide across rural India. Stalin called for the complete implementation of the National Commission on Farmers recommendations headed by Dr. M.S. Swaminathan.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK will relentlessly support the united agrarian movement for comprehensive debt relief and guaranteed crop prices.
