DMK president M.K. Stalin affirmed that relief consignments mobilized by the party would be systematically distributed to interior hamlets across the Cauvery delta where state administrative machinery had failed to reach. Inspecting the severe devastation caused by Cyclone Gaja across rural districts, Stalin noted that while administrative operations were largely confined to urban centers and highway junctions, countless isolated villages remained abandoned without drinking water, electricity, or food supplies.

Stalin emphasized that thousands of agrarian families, smallholders, and rural laborers in interior pockets were enduring acute distress after losing their homes and standing horticultural crops. Downed power transmission lines and blocked interior roads had cut off vulnerable settlements from basic civic services for over a week. Under the #DMKforDelta initiative, dedicated party volunteer teams were dispatched to navigate damaged interior paths and deliver essential dry rations, tarpaulins, clothes, and drinking water directly to distressed households.

Stalin criticized the state administration for slow ground mobilization and inadequate emergency coordination. He reiterated that DMK cadres will remain on the ground until every affected family receives necessary humanitarian support to reconstruct their damaged livelihoods.
