DMK president M.K. Stalin commemorated the foundation day of the historic Justice Party, reflecting on its revolutionary legacy in dismantling millennia of entrenched caste oppression and pioneering statutory social justice in India. Stalin observed that while the day marked a proud moment in Dravidian history, the contemporary reality in Tamil Nadu caused immense heartache as the state was simultaneously battered by the natural fury of Cyclone Gaja and regressive storms of caste fanaticism.

Stalin recalled that the Justice Party, founded in 1916, spearheaded structural social transformation by introducing communal representation, opening public institutions to marginalized communities, and establishing women's voting rights. However, recent caste-related atrocities and honor killings demonstrate that feudal mindsets still threaten modern constitutional progress. He noted that alongside physical destruction in delta districts, social harmony faces severe erosion under an indifferent state administration.

Stalin emphasized that confronting these dual challenges requires redoubling commitment to the core ideals of rationalism, equality, and fraternity. He affirmed that the DMK will persistently lead the struggle to rehabilitate cyclone victims while fighting relentlessly to eradicate caste hegemony from Tamil society. He stressed that enduring social harmony requires continuous vigilance and uncompromising administrative action.
