தூத்துக்குடியில் 13பேர் கொல்லப்பட்ட போதும், பசுமைவழிச்சாலை போராட்டத்திலும் நேரில் செல்லாமல் ஏமாற்றிய நிலைதான் இப்போதும்!

DMK president M.K. Stalin criticized Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami for systematically avoiding direct visits to public crisis zones, highlighting his ongoing absence from districts severely battered by Cyclone Gaja. Stalin noted that while administrative spokespersons repeatedly promised that the chief minister would arrive to supervise relief operations, Palaniswami remained conspicuously absent from the calamity-stricken regions.
Stalin recalled that this pattern of evasion characterized Palaniswami's entire tenure. He pointed out that following the horrific police firing in Thoothukudi that claimed thirteen innocent lives, the chief minister failed to visit grieving families on site. Similarly, during intense peasant agitations against the Chennai-Salem green expressway project, the state leadership refused to meet affected landowners directly. Stalin remarked that an elected administrator who evades visiting his own citizens during acute tragedies forfeits moral authority to lead the state.
Stalin urged the chief minister to abandon administrative timidity and personally visit the interior hamlets of Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, and Thanjavur. He stated that effective disaster management requires visible executive leadership, empathetic public listening, and decisive on-the-ground governance rather than distant press briefings. He reiterated that public trust in governance is built through empathetic physical presence and decisive accountability.
