#ResignEdapadi https://t.co/3V049lTeoO

DMK president M.K. Stalin demanded that the Central Bureau of Investigation broaden its probe into Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami beyond the immediate 3,120 crore rupee highway tender scandal. Stalin stated that the judicial transfer of the case to the federal agency was only a starting point, asserting that the investigation must encompass all highway contracts awarded during Palaniswami's entire tenure as highways minister from 2011 to 2016, as well as his chief ministerial term since 2016.
Stalin pointed out that multi-crore infrastructure packages were systematically awarded to a narrow syndicate consisting of the Chief Minister's in-laws, close family relations, and political business associates. Through manipulated bidding criteria and suppressed tender notifications, established public procurement norms were consistently violated. He argued that confining the inquiry to a single set of contracts would fail to uncover the full extent of public exchequer loot orchestrated over seven years.
Demanding total transparency and institutional accountability, Stalin insisted that the CBI seize all procurement records across highways divisions immediately. He reiterated that a thorough, comprehensive inquiry covering Palaniswami's entire administrative oversight of the highways portfolio is essential to recover misappropriated public wealth and prosecute responsible political masters.
