#ResignEdapadi https://t.co/hsTFLLf8Ex

DMK president M.K. Stalin welcomed the landmark judgment of the Madras High Court ordering an independent CBI investigation into corruption allegations involving Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami in awarding highway contracts worth thousands of crores. Stalin characterized the verdict as a historic vindication of the DMK's relentless legal battle against executive graft. The High Court decisively rejected the state vigilance agency's clean chit, finding prima facie evidence requiring an impartial central investigation.
Stalin asserted that continuing in office while facing a court-mandated CBI probe into monumental personal corruption is a profound disgrace to Tamil Nadu and constitutional propriety. He pointed out that holding the constitutional office of Chief Minister while federal detectives investigate personal favoritism severely compromises governmental credibility and undermines administrative neutrality.
Stalin demanded that Edappadi K. Palaniswami resign from the chief ministership immediately to uphold democratic decency. He further appealed to the Governor of Tamil Nadu to dismiss the Chief Minister forthwith if he refused to step down voluntarily. He declared that public justice and constitutional morality demand that high-level corruption suspects face uninhibited legal scrutiny without executive shields.
