DMK president M.K. Stalin announced that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam would actively support the demonstration organized by employees of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments department against derogatory remarks made by Bharatiya Janata Party leader H. Raja. The protest condemned public speeches insulting department officials, women staff members, and their families, which had provoked widespread outrage across state administrative services and among civil servants.
Stalin questioned why the state administration and police department continued to provide armed security escorts to an individual who repeatedly engaged in derogatory rhetoric, violated public peace, and insulted statutory institutions. He pointed out that ordinary citizens facing minor infractions face immediate legal action, whereas politically connected figures disrupting communal harmony receive state protection, executive indulgence, and institutional immunity without fear of lawful consequences.
Stalin demanded that the Tamil Nadu government initiate strict criminal proceedings against those insulting public servants and threatening public harmony across districts. He affirmed that the DMK stands in full solidarity with temple administration employees, asserting that democratic institutions must protect administrative staff from targeted verbal abuse, harassment, and communal polarization attempted by sectarian organizations.
