DMK president M.K. Stalin criticized Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami for using arrogant public rhetoric to deflect growing attention from systemic corruption across government departments. He remarked that if a national competition were held across India to recognize corrupt governance, Palaniswami would comfortably secure the first prize given the sheer magnitude of financial irregularities and nepotistic contract allocations under his executive leadership.
Stalin observed that blustering public statements cannot erase the mounting queue of criminal petitions, vigilance complaints, and judicial proceedings confronting the Chief Minister before statutory courts. He noted that multiple major highway contracts awarded to close relatives and political associates had attracted serious judicial scrutiny, placing the entire state administration in severe legal jeopardy and moral disrepute before the Madras High Court.
Stalin asserted that the rule of law inevitably catches up with corrupt administrators regardless of how aggressively they project political defiance in press conferences. He warned that the pending corruption charges moving through various judicial forums would soon provide a decisive legal answer to the Chief Minister's arrogance, reaffirming DMK's steadfast commitment to ensuring absolute administrative accountability for public taxpayer funds across Tamil Nadu.
