DMK president M.K. Stalin demanded an immediate Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the massive fraudulent wind energy billing scam operating within the state electricity board. He cited an unequivocal audit report stating that bogus energy allotments were officially recorded without any actual electricity generation taking place, exposing an elaborate financial fraud within state energy distribution networks and departmental accounts.

Stalin criticized Electricity Minister P. Thangamani for attempting to cover up the systemic scam by dismissing it as an internal transaction between private industrial mills. He observed that official power transmission infrastructure and statutory billing registries were actively manipulated to divert crores of public funds into private pockets under direct ministerial oversight and administrative connivance.

Stalin challenged the state government to demonstrate courage by handing over the investigation to the CBI if the department had nothing to conceal from public scrutiny. He affirmed that the DMK would not permit corrupt ministers to whitewash financial irregularities, declaring that public energy resources must be protected from fraudulent billing rackets and organized bureaucratic malfeasance across Tamil Nadu without any further delay or executive interference.
