DMK president M.K. Stalin released concrete documentary proof establishing widespread financial corruption in wind energy generation and billing within the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation. He strongly condemned Electricity Minister P. Thangamani for shamelessly claiming to the media that no irregularities had occurred, accusing the minister of deliberately deceiving the public while concealing undeniable statutory audit evidence and internal vigilance reports.

Stalin stated that official departmental documents clearly proved that non-existent wind energy generation was credited and settled on paper, causing monumental financial losses to the already debt-burdened electricity board. He questioned how an energy minister could feign ignorance when audit officers had documented clear evidence of fictitious energy allotments, fraudulent adjustments, and substantial public fund leakages.

Stalin demanded that Minister Thangamani resign from his cabinet post immediately to allow an impartial, uncompromised, and transparent judicial investigation into the scam. He emphasized that retaining an accused minister in office compromises documentary evidence and obstructs accountability, reiterating that the DMK will persistently expose ministerial corruption and protect the financial integrity of public utilities for the people of Tamil Nadu without compromise.
