DMK president M.K. Stalin strongly criticized Electricity Minister P. Thangamani for reacting with hostility and deflecting blame toward the previous DMK administration whenever legitimate public concerns regarding frequent power outages were raised. He noted that instead of addressing the genuine operational lapses and generation deficits confronting the state power grid, the minister attempted to conceal current administrative failures by reciting misleading historical comparisons.
Stalin observed that responsible ministers should welcome constructive criticism and work toward immediate public relief rather than treating whistleblowers and opposition leaders as personal adversaries. He pointed out that households, agrarian tube-wells, and industrial manufacturing sectors across Tamil Nadu were enduring acute distress due to erratic power supply and unannounced load-shedding during peak hours every single day.
Stalin demanded that Minister Thangamani accept ministerial responsibility for the deteriorating power situation, modernize thermal power stations, and resolve distribution bottlenecks across districts. He asserted that the public will not tolerate endless administrative excuses from an inefficient regime, vowing that the DMK will persistently hold the power ministry accountable for disrupting the daily lives of citizens and enterprise operations across Tamil Nadu.
