#GutkhaScam
DMK president M.K. Stalin demanded the immediate resignation of Tamil Nadu Health Minister C. Vijayabaskar following startling revelations in which the minister's own father formally admitted to collecting substantial bribe amounts for appointing noon-meal organizers. Stalin underscored that this sworn admission exposed deep-seated transactional corruption within the administration, rendering Vijayabaskar's continued presence in the state cabinet unconstitutional and morally untenable.
Stalin pointed out that exploiting welfare employment intended to nourish school children for personal financial enrichment was an unforgivable betrayal of impoverished job aspirants across Tamil Nadu. Deserving rural candidates who lacked monetary resources were systematically denied legitimate livelihood opportunities, while corrupt brokers monetized government vacancies under political patronage. Coupled with his involvement in the notorious Gutkha distribution scandal, Vijayabaskar's retention made a complete mockery of clean governance.
Stalin reiterated that public office carries a solemn fiduciary obligation to the citizenry that cannot be subordinated to familial greed or partisan protection. He called upon statutory authorities to initiate criminal proceedings against all individuals named in the recruitment racket, pledging that the DMK will relentlessly champion transparent, merit-based public employment across Tamil Nadu.
