I feel honoured and grateful to have been elected as the President of the DMK party.
I pledge to protect, cherish and advance the four founding principles of our party: Self Respect, Social Justice, Rationalism and Secularism.
DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed deep gratitude and humility upon being formally elected as the President of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam by its General Council. In his inaugural pledge as party leader, Stalin solemnly committed to protect, cherish, and advance the four foundational ideological pillars of the Dravidian movement: Self-Respect, Social Justice, Rationalism, and Secularism. He declared that these four guiding principles represent the eternal compass that will steer the party through all future political trials and organizational battles.
Stalin observed that assuming the mantle previously held by legendary leaders Thanthai Periyar, Perarignar Anna, and Muthamizharignar Kalaignar was both an extraordinary honor and a profound historical duty. The four principles had emancipated millions from caste subordination, superstition, and social disenfranchisement throughout Tamil Nadu's modern history.
Stalin affirmed that the DMK under his leadership will continue to be an unyielding champion of human dignity and affirmative action. He vowed that no compromise would ever be made regarding secularism and rationalism, promising to lead the party toward comprehensive political renewal while upholding Tamil Nadu rights and welfare across the national stage. The DMK remains dedicated to these timeless goals.
