DMK president M.K. Stalin made an emotional and solemn pledge to the Tamil people upon his election as party leader, addressing them as his very life and soul. Stalin declared that until his final breath and the last beat of his heart, he would relentlessly work and struggle on behalf of the Tamil community. He vowed never to waver from his sacred duty to defend four non-negotiable treasures: the Tamil race, the Tamil language, the homeland, and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
Stalin recalled the peerless legacy of Kalaignar Karunanidhi, whose deep personal bond with the Tamil people inspired generations of social reformers and political cadres. Assuming leadership in the absence of the departed patriarch, Stalin affirmed that his public life would be entirely devoted to advancing social equity, cultural pride, and administrative justice across the state.
Stalin promised to stand in the vanguard of every struggle affecting the working classes, farmers, women, and students of Tamil Nadu. He emphasized that safeguarding linguistic heritage and regional rights from hostile political forces remained his highest moral calling, dedicating his political career to the welfare of Tamil society.
