DMK president M.K. Stalin expressed profound indignation over the Tamil Nadu executive establishment's concerted efforts to victimize a woman Superintendent of Police who formally registered a sexual harassment complaint against an Inspector General in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption. Stalin condemned the reality that authorities from the Chief Minister down to the Director General of Police were actively coordinating to dilute the criminal case and harass the complainant, rather than conducting an impartial investigation.

Stalin highlighted that if a high-ranking woman IPS officer faced severe institutional hostility, administrative retaliation, and character assassination for seeking statutory justice, ordinary women across the state would lose all confidence in police grievance mechanisms. Suppressing gender harassment allegations to protect a compliant officer involved in handling ministerial corruption cases revealed absolute moral degradation within the ruling hierarchy.

Stalin demanded the immediate suspension of the accused officer and a court-monitored investigation to ensure institutional justice. He affirmed that the DMK stands resolutely with women officers and working professionals, demanding uncompromising workplace safety, dignity, and statutory legal protection free from executive interference across Tamil Nadu.
