DMK president M.K. Stalin declared that no anti-corruption probe could ever be conducted independently or impartially under the supervision of a tainted joint director in the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption. Stalin stated that retaining an official who faces grave personal misconduct charges at the helm of sensitive vigilance inquiries made a mockery of statutory oversight. He demanded that the Tamil Nadu government immediately transfer the controversial officer and appoint an upright, unblemished officer of Inspector General rank to head the investigative directorate.

Stalin emphasized that crucial inquiries into multi-crore highway tenders, municipal contract kickbacks, and administrative bribery implicating senior ministers were intentionally stalled under the existing compromised vigilance leadership. Subordinate investigating officers were subjected to administrative pressure, preventing the registration of First Information Reports despite comprehensive documentary evidence submitted by opposition parties.

Stalin asserted that statutory anti-corruption machinery must operate with absolute autonomy, free from political shielding or bureaucratic compromise. He affirmed that the DMK will persistently demand judicial intervention and administrative cleansing until vigilance bodies in Tamil Nadu regain public credibility and enforce the rule of law without fear or favor.
