DMK president M.K. Stalin demanded to know why the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption was moving at a snail's pace on documented corruption complaints submitted against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami, Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, and various cabinet ministers. Stalin pointed out that the DMK had submitted exhaustive dossiers containing prima facie evidence of multi-crore graft in highway contracts and public procurements, yet the agency failed to register statutory cases.

Stalin highlighted the shocking reality that all these high-profile graft inquiries were being supervised by an Inspector General who was himself facing serious allegations of sexual harassment. He questioned how an officer under severe administrative vulnerability could ever be expected to take fearless, independent action against powerful political masters on whose goodwill his career survived.

Stalin stated that this compromised vigilance setup was deliberately engineered to bury genuine anti-corruption complaints. He warned that suppressing criminal charges through puppet investigators would not protect the guilty indefinitely. Stalin affirmed that the DMK would pursue these corruption charges relentlessly through constitutional courts, ensuring that public resources looted through ministerial kickbacks are fully accounted for.
